Why the ood is cooked faster in the pressure cooker? Why it becomes difficult to cook food at the mountains?

The pressure inside the pressure cooker is very high. The raises the boiling point of water and the temperature inside the cooker is higher than 100ÂșC which results in faster cooking the food.
