Answer by: Shruti Srivastva
Shruti Srivastva When the ship is floating, the metra-centre of the ship is above the centre of gravity. While sinking, the ship takes in water. As a result, the centre of gravity is raised above the metra-centre. The ship turns over due to the couple formed by the weight and the buoyant orce.
