. Simplify the expressions and find the value if x is equal to 2

(i) x + 7 + 4 (x – 5)

**Answer:**

x+7+4(x-5)=2

x+7+4x-20=2

5x-13=2

5x=2+13

5x=15

x=3

So, The value of x is 3.
