The price of sugar gets decreased by 25% by how much percent can the consumption of sugar be increased in the same expenditures.

and the consumption be 100x
If it's price decreased by 25 %
then new price = 100-(25/100×100)
= 100-25
=75
then at same price ,it's consumption will be 75x
Original consumption = 100x
Net percent increase = 100-75
= 25x
Now , percent increase
=net increase /100×(new consumption)
= 25/100×75
= 18.75 %
