What is lithosphere?

 lithosphere is the rigid, outermost shell of a terrestrial-type planet, or natural satellite, that is defined by its rigid mechanical properties. On Earth, it is composed of the crust and the portion of the upper mantle that behaves elastically on time scales of thousands of years or greater.

Why Atmospheric pressure decreases with altitude?

 Atmospheric Pressure decreases with altitude that is why:-

1) It is difficult to cook on the motion. 

2) The fountain pen of a passenger leaks in aeroplane. 

3) Bleeding occurs from the nose.

4) It is difficult to breath on higher altitude due to less amount partial pressure of oxygen in air.

5) Water starts to boil below 100°C .
