 When a living plant cell loses water through osmosis to there is shrinkage or contraction of the contents of the cell away from the cell wall. This phenomenon is known as plasmolysis.

Megaliths - The term literally means 'big stone'. In many places like the Deccan, south India, north-east and Kashmir, huge stone boulders arranged in circular patterns have been found. They were perhaps used to denote a burial sites or graves. These stone boulders are known as megaliths.

Both were mobile units led by chiefs who kept moving along with the forces. The only difference between Sabha and Samiti seems to be the fact that Sabha performed judicial functions, which the Samiti did not. Later, the sabha became a small aristocratic body and samiti ceased to exist
