 how would the disposal of garbage affect the living organisms in the river. Groundwater contamination from pesticides causes reproductive damage within wildlife in ecosystems. ... Ecosystems are destroyed by the rising temperature in the water, as coral reefs are affected by the bleaching effect due to warmer temperatures.

 Chlorofluorocarbons and ozone. Many people have heard that the ozone hole is caused by chemicals called CFCs, short for chlorofluorocarbons.
